These Terms & Conditions govern the application, registration, enrollment, participation, website usage, and educational services provided through LA MODE Hair Academy and LA MODE Modelling Academy, both operating under LA MODE Academy of Art.

By submitting an application, making payment, enrolling in any academy program, or participating in academy activities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

​​1. Enrollment & Eligibility

• Enrollment is open to individuals who wish to pursue professional development in hairstyling, beauty, modelling, fashion presentation, personal branding, or related creative industries.

• Each academy program may have specific eligibility requirements, age restrictions, or prerequisites, which will be stated on the respective course or registration page.

• Certain programs may require interviews, assessments, auditions, portfolio reviews, photographs, or suitability evaluations before acceptance.

• Applicants below the legal age of majority may require consent from a parent or legal guardian.

• International applicants are welcome and remain responsible for obtaining appropriate travel documentation, visas, permits, and complying with Malaysian immigration regulations.

• Acceptance into any program remains subject to approval by LA MODE Academy of Art.

2. Application & Registration

• Applications must be submitted through the official website or other authorized registration channels approved by LA MODE Academy of Art.

• Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, complete, and truthful.

• LA MODE Academy of Art reserves the right to reject, suspend, or cancel any application containing false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information.

• Submission of an application does not guarantee admission into any academy program.

• Course commencement dates, schedules, and class availability may vary depending on enrollment numbers and operational requirements.

3. Course Fees & Payment

• Course fees, promotional offers, payment schedules, and enrollment packages may differ between LA MODE Hair Academy and LA MODE Modelling Academy.

• Fees applicable to each program will be clearly communicated during registration.

• Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all required payments must be completed prior to course commencement.

• Certain fees may cover tuition only, while tools, equipment, uniforms, grooming products, learning materials, or additional services may be charged separately where applicable.

• Promotional pricing is subject to campaign terms and may be withdrawn without prior notice.

• LA MODE Academy of Art reserves the right to suspend access to training, facilities, certificates, or graduation activities if outstanding fees remain unpaid.

 4. Attendance & Participation

Students are expected to maintain regular attendance and active participation throughout their enrolled program.

Students should:

• Attend scheduled classes punctually.

• Inform the academy in advance whenever possible if unable to attend.

• Complete practical assignments and assessments as required.

The academy reserves the right to determine whether attendance and participation are sufficient for successful completion of the program.

5. Training Programs

5.1 LA MODE Hair Academy

Hair Academy programs emphasize practical hairstyling education through salon-based learning, technical skill development, client consultation, business fundamentals, and supervised practical training.

​Students may participate in:

• Hair cutting

• Hair colouring

• Hair styling

• Hair treatments

• Salon operations

• Customer consultation

• Business and entrepreneurship modules

​Training may include supervised practical sessions involving live models or clients.

5.2 LA MODE Modelling Academy

Modelling Academy programs focus on developing confidence, presentation skills, stage presence, personal branding, and professional modelling techniques.

• Catwalk techniques

• Posing techniques

• Stage presentation

• Public speaking

• Personal grooming

• Confidence development

• Fashion presentation

• Photography posing

• Portfolio development

• Competition preparation

Students may participate in fashion shoots, promotional events, showcases, pageants, workshops, or academy-organized activities as part of their learning experience.

6. Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.

Students shall:

• Respect trainers, staff, clients, guests, and fellow students.

• Follow academy rules and trainer instructions.

• Maintain appropriate personal presentation and hygiene.

• Use academy facilities responsibly.

• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, bullying, violence, or disruptive behavior.

 

The academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate any student's participation without refund where misconduct, unsafe behaviour, or serious policy violations occur.

​7. Photography, Video Recording & Media Release

Photography and video recording form an important part of academy education, portfolio development, and promotional activities.

By enrolling in LA MODE Academy of Art programs, students grant permission for the academy to photograph, film, record, and publish images or videos featuring the student during classes, training sessions, events, competitions, photoshoots, fashion shows, workshops, or promotional activities.

​Such content may be used across:

• Official websites

• Social media platforms

• Printed materials

• Marketing campaigns

• Advertisements

• Educational publications

• Future promotional activities

No additional compensation shall be payable for such usage.

Students wishing to limit media usage should submit a written request prior to course commencement, although the academy cannot guarantee exclusion from group photographs or public events.

​8. Intellectual Property

All educational materials, course outlines, manuals, presentations, training systems, videos, photographs, branding assets, website content, designs, teaching methodologies, and academy intellectual property remain the exclusive property of LA MODE Academy of Art.

Students may use academy materials solely for personal educational purposes.

Unauthorized reproduction, recording, publication, distribution, resale, modification, or commercial use is prohibited without prior written permission.

9. Certification & Course Completion

Certificates, participation awards, completion letters, or academy recognition may be issued upon successful completion of the applicable program requirements.

Issuance remains subject to:

• Completion of required training modules

• Satisfactory attendance

• Practical competency where applicable

• Compliance with academy policies

• Settlement of outstanding fees

Enrollment does not guarantee professional licensing, employment, agency representation, pageant selection, modelling contracts, business success, or commercial opportunities.

10. Career Opportunities & Professional Development

LA MODE Academy of Art provides education and industry exposure designed to enhance professional opportunities.

However, career success depends upon individual talent, commitment, market conditions, client demand, and external opportunities.

The academy does not guarantee:

• Employment

• Agency contracts

• Modelling assignments

• Competition placements

• Salon ownership success

• Income levels

• Commercial endorsements

• Business profitability

11. Health & Safety

Students must comply with all health, hygiene, safety, and operational procedures established by the academy.

Hair Academy students may be required to follow sanitation procedures relating to hairstyling tools and salon equipment.

Modelling Academy students may participate in physical activities including runway practice, rehearsals, photoshoots, and stage performances and should ensure they are medically fit to participate.

Students are responsible for informing the academy of any medical conditions or limitations that may affect participation.

12. Refunds, Transfers & Course Changes

Refund eligibility shall be governed by the academy's official refund policy applicable at the time of enrollment.

 

Unless otherwise stated:

• Registration and administrative fees may be non-refundable.

• Course transfers remain subject to academy approval.

• LA MODE Academy of Art reserves the right to modify instructors, schedules, venues, course content, practical activities, or training formats where reasonably necessary.

If a course is cancelled by the academy, affected students may be offered an alternative intake, replacement program, credit, or refund at the academy's discretion.

13. Limitation of Liability

Participation in academy programs is voluntary.

​Students participate at their own risk.

​LA MODE Academy of Art, LA MODE Hair Academy, LA MODE Modelling Academy, their directors, employees, trainers, affiliates, sponsors, and partners shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, property damage, travel interruption, business loss, or indirect damages arising from participation in academy activities except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Students remain responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings.

 

14. Website Usage

All information published on academy websites is provided for general informational purposes only.

The academy reserves the right to modify course information, fees, schedules, promotions, instructors, facilities, website content, or policies without prior notice.

Unauthorized copying, scraping, reproduction, republication, or commercial use of website content is prohibited.

15. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information collected during registration, communication, or participation may be used for:

• Student administration

Any disputes arising from academy services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
